Biotin

Biotin is a B vitamin included in hair, skin and nail formulas. Worth knowing: genuine biotin deficiency is rare, and where supplementation produces a visible result it is usually because a deficiency existed in the first place. It is also known to interfere with some laboratory blood tests, including thyroid and cardiac markers, so mention it to your doctor before bloods are taken. A supplement, not a treatment for hair loss.
